About Paula

Hi, I’m Paula, the founder and maker behind Smelty.

Originally from Brazil and now proudly based in Sydney, I’ve always been passionate about creativity, beautiful scents, and creating experiences that bring people together. What started as a hobby in 2020 quickly grew into a business that combines my love of making, teaching, and helping people add a little more joy to their everyday lives.

Every candle, soap, diffuser, bath product, and home fragrance at Smelty is handcrafted in small batches using carefully selected ingredients and a lot of attention to detail. I believe that scent has the power to transform a space, create memories, and turn ordinary moments into something special.

One of the most rewarding parts of my journey has been sharing my knowledge through workshops. From candle making and soap making to bath and body products, I love helping people discover their own creativity and learn new skills in a fun and welcoming environment.

When I’m not pouring candles or teaching workshops, you’ll often find me behind a camera at my photography studio, working on web development projects, exploring local markets, or dreaming up new products and scent collections inspired by my travels and Brazilian heritage.
